The Castlemaine Camera Club has existed for many years,
providing a meeting place where enthusiastic photographers from all walks
of life may share their photographic experience for mutual benefit.
In common with all similar clubs, CCC used to cater only to those using
film and printing on "normal" photographic paper. No more.
These days the club has members using film from 35mm to 4"x5", digital
cameras from the small to the exotic. Prints may be on normal photo
paper, inkjet, dye-sub, or lab-printed on "digital" paper.
Whilst the traditional
darkroom is still very much in use, some members have completely turned to
the "computer darkroom" for their photographic creativity.
Our members range from "beginners" to advanced amatuers and photo/computer
industry persons with many years experience.
Regardless of experience, all share a love of photography in all its
forms.
The aim of the Club is to encourage and further the craft of photography
through mutual sharing and assistance.
We are a friendly, easy-going group, ready and willing to both assist
you and learn from you. There are no cliques in this Club; the only "clicks"
are from cameras!
The Club meets on the 1st Tuesday of each month at 7:30pm in the air-conditioned
Salvation Army Hall, Kennedy St. (in front of Castlemaine Railway Station).
There is good parking, plus disabled access and toilets if required.
The Club provides numerous lectures, and holds field trips and in-house
workshops.
VISITORS ARE VERY WELCOME, and if you decide to become a member, the
annual fee is a modest $30.00.
Whether you're an "old pro" at photography, or just got your first camera,
why not come along and see what we have to offer.
